The Products

Here at the Scot Box there's nothing we love more than making people smile by sending Scottish reminders across the world. We started with nostalgic confectionery that were prevalent in childhood and now we grow to include other Scottish food and snacks.

We are always planning new novelty boxes that can be enjoyed wherever you are! To ensure our customers love the products in our Scot boxes, we publish polls and surveys to generate customer feedback. We also welcome suggestions at any point. You can email us here!

The Scot Box range is advertised to include Scottish brands and favourites. Scottish brands meaning products that are produced by companies in Scotland, and Scottish favourites meaning products that aren't necessarily made in Scotland but are loved by Scottish people and have a big presence in our society.

 IRN BRU

Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, by A.G. Barr of Glasgow.

Irn-Bru is a Scottish carbonated soft drink, often described as "Scotland's other national drink". Also known for their tongue in cheek adverts.

LEE'S OF SCOTLAND

Coatbridge, just outside Glasgow.

Lees of Scotland, established in 1931, is a manufacturer of branded confectionery. One of the original products manufactured by Lees was the Lees macaroon bar. The macaroon and tablet bars which we include in our boxes.

TUNNOCK'S

Uddingston, South Lanarkshire.

Thomas Tunnock Limited, commonly known as Tunnock's, is a family-owned bakery famous for Tunnock's Teacakes, Caramel Logs, Snowballs and Caramel Wafers. The Teacakes and Wafers which are included in our Scot Boxes.

WALKER'S

Aberlour, Moray.

Renowned for baking The World's Finest Shortbread since 1898. The company is Scotland's biggest exporter of food and employs over 4,000 people in 15 locations.

MARS

Yes, we know the Mars Bar wasn't founded in Scotland! However, the Mars Bar became very popular here. So popular, that a chipper (fish & chip shop) in Stonehaven in the North East of Scotland decided the deep fry it and sell it to customers!

We have included this Scottish favourite in our Scot Boxes as a nod to the infamous deep fried Mars Bar but also as a nostalgic reminder of childhood in Scotland. We also know how difficult and expensive it can be to get these in certain parts of the world.

MILLIONS

Fort Matilda, Greenock, by Golden Casket Ltd.

The tiny tasty chewy sweets invented in 1991 are still growing in sales year on year. The product is an established favourite with children and adults alike.

FREDDO

Did you even have a childhood if a wee Freddo wasn't a tuck shop staple?

Again, we know the Freddo isn't a product of Scotland, it was actually produced by an Australian company before it was taken over by Cadbury's, but it certainly is a chocolate of choice here! Do you remember the anger when they increased the Freddo to 25p!? Unbelievable. I'm still hopping mad about it. (Photo taken in Glasgow).

McCOYS

Pairs beautifully with a cold pint of Tennent's. A childhood staple, a pub favourite and voted a very popular crisp brand in Scotland.

Marketed under the slogan "The Real McCoy's – Accept No Iimitations", exploiting the Scottish idiom "the real McCoy".

MRS. TILLYS

Larbert, Falkirk.

Falkirk's very own confectionery experts, Mrs Tilly's, have become Scotland's number one '˜sweetie' brand.

We include their sensational fudge bars in selected Scot Boxes.
